Must we rent a room or suite in order to have our wedding
ceremony at The 1910 House Bed and Breakfast?
No, it is not necessary to rent a room or suite. We do recommend it as it gives you
many benefits and additional flexibility in scheduling the event. It is as a guest of the
B&B that we are able to provide the Champagne Toast after the ceremony. Please
review all benefits on the Accomodations Page.
At what time must the ceremony begin and end?
Again, this also depends on whether or not you are renting a room or suite. If you
are not staying overnight, the ceremony must be scheduled to start between 12:30
pm and 1:00 pm in order to finish before other guests are checking in. This also
applies if your are only renting a room versus opting for the "suite" upgrade. With
the "suite" upgrade, your are the only ones at the inn and the only requirement is
that it start no earlier than 12:30 pm and must end by 7:00 pm. Each package has a
specific duration between 1 hour and 3 hours.
What is the cancellation policy?
Our normal cancellation policy applies to your room. If you cancel your wedding more
than 30 days prior to your wedding date, there is a $50.00 cancellation fee in addition
to the cancellation fee of your room. Weddings that are cancelled 15-30 days prior
the wedding date lose 50% of the amount paid. Weddings that are cancelled with
less than 15 days notice lose the entire amount paid.

Must we use one of the packages or can we make changes?
You can customize any of the packages to suit your needs. Just contact us with your
wishes and we can present a customized quote to you.
Are children allowed?
We do allow children at the ceremony. Keep in mind, however, that there is no
specific play area.
Do you have a restaurant where we can have a wedding dinner?
Unfortunately, we do not have a restaurant; however, we do have our Celebration
Package that includes a fingertip buffet. If you would like a sit down dinner, there
are many fine restaurants in the Scotch Plains area and we will be happy to supply
you with a list.
May we bring in our own food and beverages?
Yes you can and we will work with the person or caterer who is coordinating the food
for the wedding. Since we do not have a liquor license, you must supply the liquor
you wish to serve your guests. We can supply the set-ups for the bar.
What do you require for a deposit?
A $200.00 deposit is required when you reserve your wedding date. Your balance
must be paid 30 days prior to your wedding date. If you are renting a room or suite,
